| American Civil War Naval, Scale 1:1200 This scale is just perfect for large scale fleet actions, with lots of room for manoeuvring. The models are of an extemely high standard. The following excerpt from a Miniature Wargames review says it all: The detail on these models is quite exceptional, in particular the rendering of the wooden planking and paddlewheels - the best so far in the scale. Some kits contain masts and sails where appropriate. Please note that some hulls are cast in resin (where indicated); all other castings are white metal.

There were 6 in the Richmond Class, the Palmetto State being one of them. Further
research
has shown that the Palmetto State itself had more distinctive features than the
rest of the class

The Fort Pulaski fortification was built on Cockspur Island at the mouth of the Savannah River in 1829. It was the first military assignment for a young second lieutenant fresh from West Point - Robert E. Lee. The fort stood 25ft above the water and had two tiers of guns, one in casements and the other above 'en barbette'. Our 1:1200 scale model is a one piece resin casting, suitable for any number of
scenarios for the American Civil War period, both land and naval. Packs of guns are
available separately. |
