The Napoleonic Naval Series, Scale 1:300.
The models have been carefully and extensively researched, from reliable sources - including plans from maritime museums. Complete assembly is undertaken prior to the release of each model, to confirm the fit of each part.

The larger vessels in this range are presented as boxed kits, complete with diagrams and illustrations. These are very detailed kits, using various mediums (resin, white metal and brass) and computer generated artwork to give the finest detail possible.

Brass Sails:
With a view to creating lighter, more true to scale sails, these are in photo etched brass. Using this medium, sails are a mere 8thou thick and the detail on both sides of the sail are maintained.

SEA BASES: A resin sea base is now available for the main models in this range.
This is a full sea base, with textured 'sea' and central indent for the hull. Not to be confused with the Tilt Bases which only fit under the hull to give a tilt to the model.

HMS VICTORY
This model of Nelson's Flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar, is the most detailed model we have produced. It is not for the faint hearted, there are over 400 parts (including white metal and brass). However, you can be assured of the highest quality - from research through to mould making and casting.

The accompanying folder of diagrams, includes section by section close up detail of the individual pieces which make up the hull, including identification of each part. There's also copies of the artwork from which the brass photo etch was done. For your convenience, this artwork now has a number on each part with a key.

SCHOONER WITH PIVOT GUN
This type of schooner, armed with a large calibre gun mounted on a swivel amidships, came into service after 1800 and featured in the War of 1812.

The sail plan is the same as the Schooner below. The hull and deck fittings however, are different. A feature of the hull fittings are the metal curved rails which fit on to the hull. The after rail sections include davits as part of the casting.

The Schooner is presented as a boxed kit, complete with diagrams. The cover of the box has small colour photos of other models in the series.

SCHOONER
The model is based on one of the schooners used by both sides in the War of 1812 on the Great Lakes in North America. However, the schooner rig had been used successfully since the 17th century by many countries and this type of hull construction had existed since the 18th century so that the model may be used to represent vessels from around 1720 up to the late 19th century.

The Schooner is presented as a boxed kit, complete with diagrams. The cover of the box has small colour photos of other models in the series. The hull is resin cast; fittings are in white metal; and sails and ratlines, gratings etc are photo etched brass.

CHEBEC
This highly versatile 3 masted vessel was brought to prominence by the corsairs of the Barbary Coast. The navies of France and Spain soon copied the vessel when they saw what great sailing qualities it had.
Chebecs, Xebecs or sometimes Zebecs, as they were variously called, made excellent cargo vessels. However it is in their more aggressive role that they are most remembered. Either crammed with bloodthirsty North African pirates or acting as light frigates for France or Spain.

Detailed resin hull. Overall length of the hull (including poop deck but not the bowsprit) is 140mm; beam width is 32mm.
White metal parts include the poop deck; masts and fittings.
Brass photo etch sails and side decoration.

French Brig 'La Curieuse'
Presented as she was from 1804 onwards, with 2 long guns and 14 x 24lb carronades. A distinctive hull, with French carronades and other original features. Photo etched brass 'all plain sail' included, together with white metal furled sails so that 'easy sail with courses furled' could be achieved.

The 32 gun Frigate Juno
Model Specifications: .
Detailed resin hull with separate skid beams in white metal (so the deck detail below can be painted first).  Overall length of the hull is 145mm or 5£ inches; beam width is 35mm or 1£ inches; height is 20mm or £ inches.

Designed so that the model can be depicted with guns run out (gun barrels provided) or with port lids closed (brass photo etched port lids provided). Other kit contents include: photo etched brass sails, shrouds and ratlines; white metal masts, fighting tops and fittings. The fittings include a double wheel, a belfry, 2 chase guns, 8 x 32lb carronades and 12 x 12lb long guns.

BRIG or Brig sloops were used by all the major navies during the Napoleonic wars. In the Royal Navy there were two main classes. There were 110 of the larger Cruiser class which originally carried 18 x 6lb long guns. Their armament was soon increased to a prodigious 18 x 32lb carronades plus 2 long 6lb chase guns, enabling them to be employed in many duties previously carried out by frigates. The other smaller Cherokee class of which 115 were built, was armed with 8 x 18lb carronades and 2 long 6lb chase guns.

BRIG
Price of Boxed Kit:

This model is supplied with brass sails for the setting 'all plain sail'. However, also included in the kit are extra furled sails in white metal, for an alternative sail setting. It is the modeller's choice.  The hull is cast in resin, masts and deck fittings are in white metal;  gratings and ratlines are in photo etched brass.

Our model depicts the larger Cruiser class brig and is armed with the later, heavier armament although 6lb long guns can be supplied if requested.

Hull length overall: 110mm.

Please note that ensigns and figures are sold separately. The sea base as shown in the photograph is not included.

Optional resin tilt base which exactly fits the bottom of the hull and shows the model at an angle as if in motion.  Useful if you are making your own sea base.

CUTTER
Single masted cutters were used principally by Britain. Our model is presented in a box with a colour photograph, detailed diagrams and instructions. There is a choice of boxed kits:

Uneefed or Reefed with Brass sails, resin hull, white metal masts and fittings, and photo etched brass gratings and ratlines.

Overall length of Cutter hull: 73mm.

DUTCH GUNBOAT
A single masted vessel which is larger than the Cutter.
Originally built by the Dutch, it was commandeered by the French and used in their service.

The boxed kit includes brass photo etched sails and ratlines, resin hull and white metal fittings.

Overall lenth of hull: 86mm.

SLOOP of WAR Wasp
One of two 16-gun vessels authorised by the American Congress in 1804. She was launched as a brig but her rig was changed to that of a ship sloop in April 1807.

This model is supplied with resin hull, brass photo etched sails, shrouds and ratlines. Fittings are white metal. The sail setting is 'easy sail with courses furled' but there is an optional brass 'set' fore course as an alternative.

Overall length of hull: 120mm.
