British 80ft Motor Launch:

The British 80ft Motor Launch - there were 550 of these craft in service in 1918. They were principally  used in anti submarine work. Their armament consisted of depth charges and either a Lewis gun or a 3" anti aircraft gun. Quite fast vessels, with a best speed of 18kts. They had a crew of eight.

The kit comprises resin hull and white metal fittings. The sea base is not included.


Picket Boat 50ft:

The picket boat was built in the latter part of the last century. Vessels of this type saw service during WW1 mainly as part of harbour defence.

The kit comprises resin hull, white metal fittings and figures (helmsman, two gun layers and a machine gunner). The sea base is not included.

 

Coastal Motor Boat 40ft:

The entire contents of this kit is cast in white metal: hull, fittings - including torpedo and twin Lewis gun and figures (helmsman and gunner). Also included is a white metal 'textured sea' base to show the vessel at speed.

 

Coastal Motor Boat 55ft:

This kit contains a resin hull and white metal fittings (incl torpedos, depth charges and Lewis guns ) and figures. Also included is a resin 'textured sea' base to show the vessel at speed.

 

German Lm Torpedo Boat:

There were 21 Luftschiffmotorboote or Airship-Engined boats in service in the German navy: 7 in the Baltic and 14 in Flanders. Most were armed with one 45cm bow torpedo and one machine gun, others had a 3.7cm cannon instead of a torpedo. These were fast vessels with a maximum speed of 30kts, however, when firing the bow torpedo, speed had to be reduced to 20kts or less.

German Coastal Submarine:

The German Coastal Submarine - a busy and useful class of boats, much employed in the Channel and Irish Sea. Generally armed with two bow torpedos and a 1.8mm machine gun. Speed on the surface was between 6 and 9 knots, below surface - under 6 knots.
